The Omnia Art Prize is one of Australia’s premier art awards and exhibitions for contemporary art
The Omnia Art Prize is an annual art competition open to established and emerging Australian contemporary artists.
Since its beginning in 1971, the not-for-profit event has grown to become one of Australia’s premier art awards—and a must-see event on the Melbourne arts calendar.
Each year, more than 250 contemporary paintings, drawings, photography and small sculptures compete for the $15,000 major art prize. A guest judge is invited to award the top prize, while the $1,000 People’s Choice Prize, named after the event’s founder, Audrey Culliver is chosen by public vote.
Works selected for the 2024 exhibition will be on display from May 24-26 in a beautiful gallery space at St Kevin’s College, Toorak. Artworks can be purchased at the event or online through the art shop.
All proceeds go to support the charitable work of the St Kevin’s College Foundation which supports students in financial hardship. Artist entries (up to three submissions) close 5pm, 28 March 2024.
